Fresh Green Beans and Cherry Tomatoes

Ingredients
  • 1 lb fresh green beans trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • salt and fresh pepper to taste
  • 5 oz cherry tomatoes halved
Instructions
  1. . Add green beans & water to a large saute pan. Cover and simmer until tender crisp, about 10 minutes. Drain water and set aside in serving dish. 

  2. . In a medium pan, melt butter. Add sugar, garlic salt, basil, and pepper; stir to combine. Add tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes or until soft and start to burst. 

  3. . Pour tomato mixture over green beans and toss gently to combine. Add additional salt and pepper if desired. Serve warm!
