I saw something similar to this on Publix’s website and I couldn’t wait to try it! I made a few changes and holy moly are these things good. But then again, everything is good when it’s wrapped in crescent roll dough, right?
It took me a while to find figs at my local grocery store, but I found a bag of dried figs on the aisle with dried cranberries and raisins. They were a good size, so I cut them in quarters to make them bite size.
If you don’t have a mini muffin tin, you could totally make these in a full sized tin as well. I just love things to be mini and pop-in-your-mouth ready for parties!
Enjoy!

- honey or agave
- nonstick cooking spray
-
. Preheat oven to 375F

. Cut each dried fig into quarters so you have 12 small fig pieces
-
. Roll out crescent dough and pinch together the seams; use a knife or pizza cutter to cut into 12 equal small squares
-
. Put approximately 1/2 tsp of cream cheese on each crescent dough square; then top with a fig piece and drizzle with honey or agave.
-
. Lightly spray a 12-count mini muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray

STEP BY STEP PHOTOS:
Cut the stems off of the figs, if necessary, and cut them into quarters. I usually use whatever cream cheese is on sale (or what’s in my fridge already!) – the whipped kind is great for this too!
Roll out your crescent dough and pinch together any seams or holes. Use a pizza cutter (or knife) to cut into 12 kind-of-equal squares. You can see that I’m not the best at making them even! The great thing about crescent roll dough is that it is super stretchy, so even smaller squares will stretch to fit whatever you put inside it!
Put a dollop of cream cheese on each square – about 1/2 to 1 teaspoon.
Top the cream cheese with your dried fig piece.
And drizzle with honey!
Pinch the opposite corners together to form a little pouch pocket.
Then place your pouches into a 12-count mini muffin tin. This would also make 6 full size bites! Bake at 375F for about 10 minutes or until golden brown and delicious.
